Hey Everyone. So this week was great. It was super super busy though!

So first of all, we had two more multizones. Ah. I'm so glad it's done. Mum, basically all we do for that is go through a bunch of trainings. President did a lot though so that took a load off us. The day after that we had MLC which is the big meeting for all the zone leaders and sister training leaders. So that was way fun. The night before we had to prepare everything for it. The lame thing was Elder Maxfield got super sick so that night I left him at a members house and went to our appointments. After that we went to the mission office to make and print out all the info we needed for the MLC meeting. But Maxfield was so sick he slept on the couch (poor guy). And so I stayed up till like 1:30 making everything. It was tiring! I'm so glad it's done!
After that we had two exchanges. It was crazy. On Friday we went to Zone meetings and then had the exchange. We ended it early though because Elder Maxfield and I drove up to Perris to see Patricia's baptism! It was so cool! I felt very privileged to be able to do it.

On Saturday morning we went with our bishop to the hospital to attend to a recent convert in the ward who has cancer. Her name is Scarlet and basically we went through all the funeral preparations. It was a weird feeling. I feel really bad for the rest of the family. But we'll be teaching them, and her mum (a non-member) came to church on Sunday. She told us in the hospital room that she has nothing left but us. It's weird but I guess sometimes that's how God works. He takes everything from us so we realized that He's all we have and all we need. I hope that family will be okay.

On a happier note, Sunday night was amazing. First of all, we had seven of our investigators that came to church, which was an amazing feeling! It was so amazing to see such great work happening, even among all the craziness of everything. Later on Dallas and Sarah both got baptized! I sent pictures, hope you see them! It was so cool!

With Dallas, Elder Maxfield was baptizing her. However she had back problems and so after 5 attempts of different positions, I jumped in to help. It was cool because we literally baptized Dallas together. It was great. Then I got to baptize Sarah. It's such a cool feeling to see all these people changing there lives. Sarah told us she used to dread us coming, and dread going to church. But she realized how relieved she felt after we came, and now loves it. She's so cool. Dallas is amazing as well. She hardly speaks English, but it's cool how the Spirit can still speak. She gave us coupons to Carls Jr as a thank you gift. She's so sweet!

Elder Maxfield goes home soon - within the next two weeks. He lives in Idaho. It's super sad! He goes home, and my trainer Elder Harris, and then the next transfer Elder Moss goes home. That's three companions! With that as well, many of my other missionary friends are leaving too. It's way weird. I think I've finally begun to turn into an older missionary... It's really sad.

But that was my week! I hope it was better than lasts! Also, Jauquin was baptized! I don't know if you remember him, the 14-year-old gangster in Hemet. I couldn't go back because it was at the same time Sarah and Dallas were baptized. But It's still a Christmas miracle. I'm so happy for him!

It sounds like you all had a great week! I don't have time to reply to all that's going on. But I got the package, thanks so much guys! Also I love you all and I'm sorry there's snow already. It's 104 F here. It's hard. Love you all and keep the faith! I know this church is true, and Jesus Christ lives. Sometimes everything goes wrong in life. And it sucks. But I know if we leave it in the hands of Christ He will take us and mold us into who we need to become. Love you all! You guys are great and have a good week!

Hey family. Love you all!

We have 0 time today. We've had multizones all week so it's been so intensly busy, but we had five investigators come to church and still had an extremely successful week! Patricia has been approved to get baptized! SO EXCITED. And next week two of our investigators (Sarah Madison and Dallas) will be getting baptized!

Im so excited all those people are so amazing!

Hope all is well. Love you all. This work is the best, and hope to be able to chat next week a little more!

Love ya!

25 AUGUST 2014

Hey fam. I hope everyone had a great week last week! Mine was great, but exhausting! I'm nackered as Dad would say. It was so nuts this week. We had a new missionary incoming on Tuesday, so we spent the day prepping him for the mission and what not. It was kind of cool. It's super cool because we basically get to hang out with President a lot. He's an amazing man. We live pretty closed to his house - like 20 minutes away maybe. So that's super cool.

After that, this week was insane!!! So we had four exchanges in a row, which was so crazy. We would drive like 30 minutes out to finish an exchange, and then 30 minutes another way to pick some more elders up! It was crazy. We had two days in our area and two days out. It really didn't feel like I was companions with Elder Maxfield, but it was cool getting to know the other missionaries. So basically every night we got home at like 11:30. It was crazy, so I'm dead! But Saturday night was a great reunion hahaha. This week is going to be insane because we have multi zones. And we haven't had much time to prep for it.... kind of nervous hahaha.

BUT. on the amazing awesome side of it all, we had so much success this week it was incredible! First of all, I got to go to Menifee and see my old investigators - Patricia and Kimberly and the Garcia family. It's cool because the Garcias were going through some stuff about not wanting to be baptized, but we had a cool chat with them, and they went to church this week! In our own area we had a crazy week. We are teaching Farrah who's amazing! She's praying about baptism for this weekend. We also are teaching Dallas, a lady who speaks mostly Arabic. She's now on date for the 7th of September. It's cool. I didn't get to go because of exchanges but they had an interpreter there this time. She's so cool. She's said that every time she turns the pages of the Book of Mormon, she can feel Him and knows it's true. She also came to church which was amazing. Also we are teaching Gabby and Adrianna - two girls that want to get baptized! They come to church and have come consistently for a while. The only thing is the mum wants to feel like they're ready. Please pray for them!! As well we met a lady named Sarah. She came to church this week as well, and last night we put her on date for the 7th of September! It's amazing! She's been to church all her life, but was never baptized. Now she's going through a messy divorce and has turned to God. It's SOOOO COOL. Their are tons of miracles happening in our area.

Elder Maxfield is a boss. He doesn't know Spanish. That's pretty much the only thing I have up on him hahaha. He's a solid missionary. This morning we played soccer which was fun and got our hair cuts. We look like a straight up Mexicans! It's awesome! And yes Mum! It's super weird not being in Spanish. The other day as I was trying to teach, all that wanted to come out was Spanish words. I kept putting them in by accident. But it's cool. I love the ward I'm in. We have an amazing Bishop too. And when I got the call, mum, I was kind of upset to be honest. I didn't want to leave the area/Spanish. But it's awesome. I love it.

But yeah. I'm sorry I haven't put much details. Peter. I've been kind of busy. And stuff. But just know this is the best thing in the world. I love my mission more than anything in my life and I'm having a lot of fun, and learning a lot. It's sad how fast it's going. So weird.

Dad! You didn't write me. So I'm offended. But I hope you had a great week! I hope work is good and that everything is going well!

Mum! It's so crazy Marissa's on a mission! I sent her an email. I hope she got it. But it makes me super happy she decided to do that. She's so cool! Tell Ross he's a girl! He's not Sampson hahaha. That's great that you could spend so much time with everyone. I'm glad they all came down to visit. I remember seeing Taylor in the MTC. He was awesome! Mum. I love that story. It's so cool how God answers prayers! He's really an awesome guy! Anyways. Love you so much mum! I sent your letter by the way!

Peter! That sucks about the car dude! That sucks! How much will it cost to replace? I hope all is going well for you my friend. So... have you decided how your going to ask her to marry you yet? Hahahaha. Remember. Don't get married until I get back! Good luck with school dude! Love ya!
Charly! No boys. cmon. They're evil! Super evil. I hope you had a fun week though. When do you start up school again? Love you charly, hope all is well!!

Jake! That's tight you have fun at the cabin! I hope you're okay. I love you lots man! Have a great week!

Kenna and Izaac! I hope you guys had a bomb week. I love you guys! Be good.

SO. just to let you know again, I know this gospel is true. I know Jesus is our Savior and this is His church. It's so cool to know that and to feel it. It just makes me happy hahaha. Anyways, love you guys! Sorry if my letter isn't detailed enough! Have a great week!

18 AUGUST 2014

Hey fam! Hope everyone had great week! Sounds like crazy stuff happened! The jetski broke! What the heck! That's crazy! It sounds like everyone had fun though! And I'm glad they could all come down from England that's so cool! You all look like champs with your bikes!

MUM! I am so so so sorry I missed you're b-day. Things kind of got randomly busy and I couldn't email. I wrote you a letter on your birthday as we drove to the temple, but I haven't had a chance to send it off. I just hope you know I didn't forget about you!

So this week was weird. First of all, my companion's name is Elder Maxfield. He's a stud! There's only two of us by the way, Elder Maxfield and I. He's definitely one of the best comps ever and is a crazy good leader/ teacher. I have a lot to learn. It's weird because now I'm in English ward! It's crazy!

This week we had a lot of meetings and trainings to do. On Tuesday it was kind of cool. We dropped all the dying missionaries off at the aeroport, and drove the new ones back. And then flipped around to pick all the other new ones coming in from Mexico. It was weird because I was driving alone because Elder Maxfield was driving the other van. Then we spent the day working with the new missionaries.

The area I'm working in is amazing! We had five investigators at church this week and should be having some baptisms up soon! We've seen a lot of miracles already. We also got invited into a party Saturday and taught everyone about missionary work and what we do. It was hilarious.

It was really sad to say bye to Patricia and Kimberly, they're so amazing! And everyone else. Even though I was only there for one transfer, I loved my old area. But the new area is great, and my companion is great.

Also in the past two weeks, Julie, a lady Elder Romero and I were teaching in Moreno Valley, got baptized! So we got to go back for that. As well a girl, Selena I taught in Hemet just got baptized! So happy and proud of them! Both of them have had extremely hard lives and have gone through tons! It's nice to see the changes they've made!

Anyways! Can't talk for long! Love you all. I know the church is true. It's so amazing!

Have a great week!

4 AUGUST 2014

Hey family!

Don't have much time today, my companion has a doctors appointment that we have to get to quick.

Thanks for all writing to me, it sounds like you all had a crazy week!! And hope everything goes well with EFY, and all the family in town!

This week was amazing. It was tiring. But great. We've seen some cool experiences which has been awesome. We've been teaching the Garcia family! They've been progressing a lot! They've been reading and praying and on Sunday they showed up to church. They left after Sacrament meeting because Hermano Garcia had to finish a job. But it was awesome that they came. Keep praying for them! They're awesome and will for sure get baptized this month!

Also Patricia is doing great. Neither her or Kimberly came to church this week though - we think she was sick. They're progressing a lot. Patricia sat us down and told us basically all her crazy life stories the other day, they were hilarious and kind of scary. She's ready to get baptized. She's amazing.

Also Victor randomly showed up to church yesterday. He's a funny guy. And He has plans to go to the activities for all the old single people!

As well on Saturday, James/Santiago, someone I taught back in Hemet, got baptized on Saturday! So I was able to go back for that which was great! I love baptisms, they're the best!

But I just want you all to know the church is true. Yesterday as I was sitting in sacrament, the Spirit hit me really hard. It was amazing. It felt like I was being cleansed. But I know Jesus Christ lives, and I know this is His church!

Love you all and hope you all have a great week!
