27 APRIL 2015

Hey family! Sounds like everyone had a great week this week. Our's was pretty fulfilling! We had some really good things happening, and some lame things too... I guess that's part of the deal though. But It was overall an awesome week!

Dad. Sounds like you had a blast at the Flames game. I'll never forget when we went when they faced the ducks. They lost the season, but it was awesome when the scored one in overtime. That atmosphere is incredible! I'm jealous you got to go. Hopefully they go all the way this year. That would be nice. That's awesome that Jojo came in with his family. I bet he's off the wall excited. I'm so happy for them. I'll keep them in my prayers. I really hope they're doing okay. I sent Grandma an email a while ago, but they didn't respond. I hope they got it. Anyways. Love you dad! Keep being awesome.

Mum! You had like a billion questions. Haha I'm okay with whatever you decide. It's fine with me. Haha. I think Josh gets back in like a week or so. That's cool Becky and Scott are still dating. They should just get married. Everyone's doing it (including my ex-companions). I'm glad the primary presentation was a success. It sounds like everyone in the ward is good. But it sounds like it's changed a ton. You'll have to help me remember everyone's names. It's cool about the whole signs of the times. I really think it's coming soon. That'll be so cool. But yeah. It's funny because a family I went too was really talking about that too the other day at dinner. Anyways. Love you mum. You are the best!
Peter! That's tight school's done. That sounds good, I'll just contact my teacher then. So are you in Boston for that little program thing? How is everything dude? What's it like being married? Hope you're doing well. Glad you had a good semester and that you did so well. Hopefully next year should be equally as good.

Char! I heard you got your wedding dress. I mean prom dress. Sorry. I literally meant to write prom, but I can't be bothered to go back and change it. Or grad. Or whatever it is. Anyways. Congrats. That's super awesome. Hope all is well! Love ya!
Jake. You stud. Get that count down off. Punk. Good luck with your choir performance. You'll have to sing for me one day haha. That's great Lyndsie's good. How's her progress in the church going? Love you!

Kenna. Would you like to learn Spanish one day? It's a pretty cool language. I'm glad you're doing better. I heard you were super sick but that's awesome you recovered. You're already being a missionary which is awesome. Anyways. keep up being awesome Kenna. Love you!

Izaac. Dude. That's super funny about how you drove your car off at the end haha. Sounds like you're doing a lot of activities. You better score a lot of goals this year! But yeah dude. I'd have to agree with mum... you should probably eat more that one vegetable. You're going to be an awesome missionary one day. Love you!

So. This week was cool. So first of all on of my old companion's, Elder Maxfield, is getting married. He came down to go to a wedding reception of another return missionary that was in the mission, and while he was here he stopped by to say hi. Also Elder Romero was with him. It was pretty cool. I got special permission to go out to lunch with him which was cool. He gave me his marriage announcement.... may 22nd. Everyone likes to get married without me I guess hahaha.

Also we had a whole bunch of service that we did. We did helping hands and a lot of other stuff. IT was really fun. We had some really awesome miracles with some baptisms some Elder's were having in the zone, which was awesome.

I was so stoked at church this week. The family, the Jayat family, came to church with us. It was so awesome. I was kind of nervous because it was fast Sunday for us. But everything went okay. When we sat with the parents in gospel principles we were talking about the gift of the Holy Ghost. I looked over during the class and the Hermana had tears in her eyes. It was super spiritual. I really loved it. It was so awesome. I hope they progress. We left them with a Book of Mormon and came over to see how there reading was going, she's being writing questions and taking notes in the sides. It was great.

The sad part is that we had a baptism lined up for next week, Diego, but it fell through. Or it was delayed at least. Next week is stake conference and yeah.... the mum, who is super cool, came up to us in church and told us we would have to push it back to May 17th so the whole ward could come. It was sad. But I understand too. But we were asked to teach some of the Primary yesterday. Two of the kids stole our badges and wanted pictures with us. It was funny. They wanted to wear our back packs and everything. Actually Diego's in the picture I sent. And also the other picture is of my old companions and Diego's family. And some other people. It was fun.

Apart from that things are going really well. My goal is to baptize this family by the end of the transfer. They are pretty cool... Hopefully all goes well. Anyways. That was pretty much our week. I feel like I'm forgetting stuff, but I can't really remember. It's been so awesome though. I love it. It's such a rewarding feeling, serving. I've had so many awesome experiences that I'll never forget. It's definitely been the biggest blessing in my life, serving a mission.

Anyways. Love you all! have a great week!

20 APRIL 2015

Hey family. Nice play by play to the flames. I felt like I was right there!! Hahah I miss hockey! Every time I talk about it down here, they shut me down by telling me the Cup's in LA. We need to get it back to where it belongs ;)

Hahaha. Where did the Flames sit in there standing when they entered?

Anyways. Thanks for writing!

Dad. Glad you're mostly better, and sorry you have so much to deal with. I guess that's what you get when you go to the Caribbean, Mexico and England right in a row without me. Hahaha. But I really hope Granddad is feeling better. When should he be up and running again? That's awesome you're going to be leaders there! That'll be so much fun. Man. Jealous. I'm glad that there was a baptism too. That's so awesome. Hopefully the ward gives a lot of support. I'm glad they have so far! Anyways. Love you dad. Keep it up and good luck with work!

Mother. What's up? So you're going to hate me. But I forgot to get a picture with the Primary. I wrote it down and everything, but yesterday was crazy - there were tons of non-members at church. And I totally forgot. So I thoroughly apologize. I can write another little bit though. That sounds like a blast - everyone doing the Primary Talent show. And that's awesome that you're reaching out to others. That's so cool. Good luck with the puppets haha. It's weird to think think Ross is almost married. Man. So quick. Has Becky married Scott yet? And that's cool that Mitch is home. Weird. Anyways. Love you mum! You're the best and again I'm sorry about the Primary picture. I totally spaced. And yes, the address should be fine.

Peter! I know you're probably swamped with work and school and everything right now. So I'll just say good luck and I hope all is well. Own those finals! Love ya!

Charly. Hey. SO what happened to Mitchell? Poor guy!  Good luck with homework. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that either ;). Keep it up. Love you, Char!
Jake. You're a punk. i didn't know you can dance and sing. But I guess with that Justin Beiber hair it would make sense... How's school going for you dude? And Lindsey? What's the sitch? (situation). Love you dude. Keep it up!

Kenna. I didn't know you could make brownies. That's pretty cool! Mum tells me you're going to be showing everyone how you make them and play the piano. That's pretty cool. Keep working on your talents! Is it fun to have mum in Primary? Love ya!

Izaac. I heard you're showing everyone your talent of skiing? That's super cool dude! I hope that goes well! And I heard you're making a temple of lego? One time I made a temple of sugar cubes. It was tasty. Love you dude!
So this week was pretty cool. I look back and it was such a blur I don't even remember what happened. It's horrible.

We had a ward activity where we watched the movie meet the mormons. It was cool to get some investigators there. We had like 7 show up. A family of five (the Jayat family) showed up. They're super cool. They didn't come to church because they had previous commitments, but it was cool to see them there and how much the ward cared for them too. They said they'll be there next week.

Also things are looking good for Diego. He should be getting baptized soon. Also we went out and bought a calender for Claudia and showed the the dates she could get married and told her to pick. It was pretty funny. After that we had a super powerful lesson on the families. I really hope she gets baptized soon!

We started teaching another family. It's a part member family. The boy turns nine soon and the wife isn't a member. Well. She's not really a wife because they're not married. But yeah. Anyways. The son, Angel, is down to get baptized. So that was a cool experience. They didn't show up to church though, we don't know why.

My good friend Christian passed the sacrament yesterday for the first time. He called us over because he had some friends he wanted us to visit, and he wanted me to give him a tie for his first time passing. It was super cool. As well, Karen, Christian's sister, has been working with her friend who they told me is getting baptized next week. It's so cool to see your efforts going beyond what you did. If that make sense. Basically to see someone change, and in return, change someone else. It's awesome. It's a huge domino effect. I love it.

A girl named Leslie came to church this week who we've been teaching. She's pretty cool. It was an awesome church service yesterday. We had an outgoing missionary to Tonga, and an incoming missionary from Honduras (the missionary I saw leave when I was here at the beginning of my mission). It was really powerful. At the end, we all sang God Be With You Till We Meet Again. It was so powerful. Leslie loved it and was apparently crying. She said she's coming next week. It was awesome. I love the gospel.

Anyways. that's all I really remember that has happened. OH. And Fernando's mum wants us to teach her now. She felt the Spirit at his baptism and now wants to listen to us. It's awesome!
Love you all. Hope everything goes well. I know this is all true. And it's so great.

Have a great week!

13 APRIL 2015

Hey family!

I'm sorry to hear everyone's dying back home.... that's no good. At least it was after the holidays. I hope everyone is feeling better this week.

Dad. I mean I already spoke to you. I guess I can respond to your letter. It's true what you said though! You can leave the church, but you can't leave the church alone. It will always be there haha.  As well for Granddad. I hope he's doing okay. Everyone's falling to bits back home it seems like! Anyways. I already wrote you a letter. Love ya dad! You're the best.

Mum! I'm glad you kicked the jet lag. I'm sorry everyone's so sick. The picture even still looks pretty bad haha. I hope she's okay, I feel bad for her. I feel so bad for Mitchell. Poor guy! I remember when I was younger and had "girlfriends" and obviously didn't telly you guys, and they dumped me. Man. I was so heartbroken. Hopefully he bounces back. That's a creative way she responded though. And yeah I'd love to write to the little ninos in primary. I'll send a separate little paragraph.I'm glad things are going well for Trent. That's so cool that he served a mission. In high school I didn't think he would. That's so awesome. Tell him I love him. Anyways, love you mum! Keep being a superstar back home!

Peter! That's tight you nailed that presentation thing. You'll be such a good lawyer. Lying and making things up on the fly. It's good that lair and lawyer sound similar. But good job dude. That's awesome you'll be working. Are things looking good for your jobs? I'm glad you're putting God first. I really like that. I want that to be my main focus in life - putting God first. Mosiah 2:41. I'm glad things are working out. Thanks for being a solid example. Love you man!

Charly! I heard you broke up with Mitchell! Man. I was just starting to like him too. He's probably so sad right now. Man. I heard about how you responded to Reed. That's pretty cool. Don't kiss him. Okay? Haha I hope things are going well apart from all that. Love you char!
Jake. Dude. When do you turn 16? July right? Go out with the missionaries then. I never did it before. It's the best and it'll prepare you so much for you're own mission. You better go on a mission. Anyways. Love you dude! Nice job getting Lindsie to church. Think you can baptize her before I get back? Love ya!

Kenna. I saw you're eye. I hope you're okay. Love you! get better soon!

Izaac. DUDE. I haven't heard from you in a while. Hope you're doing okay buddy! love ya!

Anyways. This week was great. It was another busy week. It went by so quick. It was cool because Fernando got baptized this week. I sent a picture with all the missionaries that taught him. There were a lot more, but they all went home. It was really cool. We were super nervous about everything because in the past a lot of problems kept getting brought up by the family, but everything went super smooth. It was an awesome experience.

We had another cool experience this week. Well. A bunch. We started teaching a family - Alfredo is the dad and Cesar is his son. We invited them to be baptized. Alfredo was like "Yeah! Also, my son and my daughter aren't baptized, can they get baptized too?" we were like sure. And put him on date for may 3rd. It was cool because that was our first lesson. But when we went back we think he had spoken to his wife, and he said no, he was catholic. It was sad.

But, there's a little boy we've been working with named Diego. I haven't spoke much about him. He's active, his mum's active and his family, he just didn't have permission from his dad. Anyways. We've been trying to help them get permission. The mum, Paloma, came up to us on Sunday and told us he's got permission! So he's getting baptized on may 3rd so her sister can come. We're so happy. Also another lady named Irma showed randomly up to church. We're going to start teaching her this week. It's going to be awesome. So a lot of good things are happening. I really hope I don't get transferred out. It's the last week of the transfer. I want to stay one more!

Other than that things are going super well. We've picked up a few families and are trying to help them along. One of my recent converts, Cristian, in the English ward out here just turned 12 and got the priesthood yesterday. Also Jacob, the husband of Jessica who we taught and baptized a while ago, passed the sacrament this passed Sunday in the English ward. It makes me so happy. I love it so much.

I can't wait to see all these people in God's kingdom. It's gonna be such a cool day. I love being a missionary. It's literally the best thing I've ever done.

Anyways. Gotta go!

Love you all!

Oh yeah and the picture of the cats was because some cat had babies outside on our front porch. It was pretty cool. We gave her milk because she was missing an ear. But she got scared and ran away and later came back for her kids. Also we played with wolf puppies this week. Pure wolves. One of them peed on me, but it was super cool.
